What image formats can I resize?
You can upload JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, and AVIF files. GIF files are supported but only the first frame is resized — animation is not preserved.
Will resizing reduce the image quality?
When saving as JPEG or WebP you can control quality with the slider. PNG is always lossless. Note that resizing through the browser does not preserve EXIF metadata such as camera info or GPS location.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. All resizing happens entirely in your browser using the Canvas API. Your images never leave your device and are not uploaded anywhere.
What is the maximum image size I can resize?
There is no strict file size limit, but very large images (over 50MP) may be slow depending on your device. The tool works best with images up to around 20–25 megapixels.
